Account Termination on Youtube
YouTube take account termination seriously (Youtube Account). We’d like to take some time to explain how and why an account might be terminated. We’ll also go over what you can do to appeal a termination if this happened to you and you feel like it was a mistake. First of all, we encourage everyone to visit our Policy and Safety Hub. This is a one-stop shop to find out about the rules and policies of YouTube.
What are the causes for termination?
So what causes us to terminate a YouTube account? One reason is the repeated violation of youtube guidelines. At YouTube have a 3 strikes rule. Youtube send a warning after the first strike, and Youtube may temporarily suspend the account or other account features after the second strike, but once Youtube rules are broken a third Time.
If the main purpose of content is to drive people off of YouTube and onto another site, it will likely violate Youtube spam policies. Youtube also want to make sure you find what you’re looking for when you’re searching for videos. Any videos that have misleading metadata, like unrelated tags or deceptive thumbnails, may be removed. Also, please place your tags in the tags section only.
Stuffing your description with extra tags is also against our policies. Accounts that repeatedly mislead users to drive traffic to their videos will be terminated. For example, if I post a video of my piano recital, I shouldn’t include tags like Lady Gaga, Madonna, or Beyonce if I’m playing Beethoven. So when you’re adding tags, make sure they’re relevant to the video. Impersonation and webform abuse are also common causes of termination and can result
in immediate penalties, without warning. Don’t set up an account and attempt to deceive users into thinking you’re someone
prevented from doing so. We all have different email addresses, so sometimes YouTubers don’t see the account termination email. We suggest checking the email associated with the YouTube account and making sure it hasn’t been caught by any of your filters. [How do I appeal an account termination?]
